Introducing Azurite

After months of quiet work, we’re ready to talk about what we’ve been building.

Azurite is a Minecraft Bedrock add-on studio. We write our tooling in Rust, ship compiled add-ons, and obsess over performance. If you’ve ever waited minutes for a pack to compile or hit cryptic JSON errors at runtime, you know the problem we’re solving.

Why Rust

Bedrock scripting has historically meant slow TypeScript toolchains, brittle JSON schemas, and zero compile-time guarantees. Rust gives us:

  • Speed — compile times measured in milliseconds, not minutes
  • Safety — schema errors caught at build time, not when a player joins
  • Portability — single binary, no runtime dependencies

What We’re Shipping

Our first products are already in testing:

  • Kinetic — a physics and movement enhancement pack
  • Luminary — ambient lighting and visual effects
  • Vortex — dynamic weather and environment systems

Each is distributed as a compiled .mcaddon with versioned releases and changelogs. No guesswork.

What’s Next

We’ll be posting build logs, technical deep-dives, and release notes here as we ship. Follow us on GitHub and Discord to stay in the loop.

We’re just getting started.
